Scope it out, the guy tested pla parts on his battle bot with good results. The settings file is in the description. Snag it for experimentation.

lots of interesting ideas in there. i didn’t know of the many of the interesting advancements mentioned either.

it’s always cool to catch up on all the clever ways they manage to advance 3d printing, often without even needing expensive new hardware.

In a similar vein, I’d highly recommend touching base on how wire EDM is going. Rack Robotics is planning to put the ability to cut metal plate in our hands via a pretty cheap desktop machine. There’s a lot of personal manufacture you can do with something like that.

the portable edm machine does look pretty cool. whenever it can print thicker parts, a lot of new cheap and easy manufacturing will open up again.

I LOVE Rack Robotics concept. The chassis is 3d printed, assembled with hardware and submerged in a 10 gallon aquarium. It’s a wonderful time to be interested in home production. The new smaller metal sintering 3d printers are also incredibly interesting.

Exactly, that’s the power of code I suppose. More effective use of the tools we alredy have. I was in the same boat. I was like “damn dude, I’ve gotta share this.”
