She was probably steam punk before steam punk was cool.

It’s a common misconception about fiddlers. It’s actually saxophonists.

Only time I remember anyone blocking nudity in the Bible was Satan inciting that in the garden.

I bet their block list has some real gold on it. Probably some pretty messed up stuff.

There was a lot of podslop before Ai started doing this. I’m all for trying to get this cleaned up but unlike Ai songs that can sneak into my algorithm and get played on my Playlist perhaps even without me noticing, I’m going to sniff out a bum podcast before I devote any time listening to it or at least know very quickly if it’s garbage and do my part to alert others.

At this amount why is it donation and not investment? Is it a tax thing?

Probably just a few bad cops. Most.of them are good and wouldnt do this right? It’s not like it’s a systemic culture of abuse and corruption behind this is there?
How about small bottle of good champagne in there?

I haven’t had it be an issue with Tidal. Tidal doesn’t have a strong autoplay algorithm so it tends to nudge users toward more custom curated Playlists. It has a buggy app, make it difficult to block songs or artists, and no duplicate filter which is frustrating, but I don’t agree that AI slop is a very big issue currently. They seem proactive in fighting it and have always been one of the most artist friendly services.

What’s it called when I get real high and code something that I can’t even figure out the next day if it was genius or insanity?

I wonder how many “Ban Boaty!” t-shirts I can sell to propenents of this.

These companies presumably have one or two people that know how to use computers? When your business is data, how can you have such a fragile ecosystem?

Are you down voting because you don’t like the article or are just mad about the topic?
It’s not a poorly written piece and while I think the art is shite, I respect the approach :
"On the issue of data and copyright, Anadol told NPR that the dataset that underpins Machine Dreams: Rainforest – what the founders call a “Large Nature Model (LNM)” – is trained on data collected first-hand from 16 rainforests around the globe. It is also trained using data partnerships with the Smithsonian, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Getty, iNaturalist, and London’s Natural History Museum.
“The best way to achieve responsible curation is to build our own models and be radically transparent about where our data comes from,” Anadol said in an email.
Asked about how Dataland will handle environmental custodianship, Anadol said, “Sustainability is not a constraint we work around; it is a condition we build from.” "
We could be seeing much much worse than this.
Finally some good fake news!
