I thought it was just teflon that is too weak to handle metal tools.

Gaming@lemmy.zip•MMO space shooter Star Conflict is shutting downEnglish
2·1 day agoOh, the game that taught me spending money on free to play games is a terrible idea.
Ahh, the impression I got is that one makes it sound like they are avoiding it because they can’t be bothered to while the other actively avoids it because its bad.
Is that the same thing? The impression I get is that OPs post is about the IT worker actively distrusting smart tech. While I assume your example is more that the blacksmith doesn’t bother with making metal spoons for himself and using what ever he had already, which would be more comparable to a network engineer still using the ISPs shitty router.

Technology@beehaw.org•Gen Z Sabotaging AI at Work So It Won't Take Their JobEnglish
29·4 days agoThe attempts at work so far are so shit I don’t even need to sabotage them, yet management go on and on about how great it is. I am increasingly getting a feeling that no one understands the product I work with because they are all just trusting the LLM output which is so badly wrong very frequently.
Fuck it, I handed my notice in recently in a response to a return to office order, so it isn’t going to be my problem.

2·10 days agoIf the whole thing flexes check the silicone, mine flexed due to rotten floor boards from a leaky drain (probably like that since we bought the house) and even after replacing the silicone it broke again rapidly due to his much it moved when used.
Most people probably don’t, it takes a while to charge but you could leave it charging all weekend.

Technology@beehaw.org•Men Are Buying Hacking Tools to Use Against Their Wives and FriendsEnglish
44·13 days agoAre we calling stable diffusion a hacking tool now? What about image editors like GIMP?
This is just sexual harassment/abuse, which was always there, moving along to new tools. The tool isn’t the problem, the people are.
Depends how hard you scrape. Steel sponges with a lot of force will take you down to metal, chainmail might work nicely for cleaning stuck on food without damaging the coating too much but I haven’t used it.
Metal tools you need to really scrape at it to remove the coating, I don’t think it is something you could do by mistake.
