That’s certainly worse. But to be more clear what I meant is that tight belts are more of a problem than they might seem.

If you usually wear belts and you have back pain maybe you could start from that. Better the annoyance of your pants not staying in place than the back pain.
Will the trend stop before we have to start using scientific notation?
// Here I'm not using that other thing that is now completely irrelevant, but I'll leave a comment to the non-existing thing anyway because I'm avoiding it.

I went to see the thread in your instance because I thought it didn’t federate properly. And the page for weird reasons loaded without css, which felt very appropriate for the thread.

104·2 months agoThe Federal Communications Commission announced July 28 that it has banned two new categories of devices: “Advanced robotic devices” and connected power inverters produced in foreign countries. According to the FCC, “robotic devices” includes mobile robots, such as humanoids and quadrupeds, and devices “capable of locomotion, obstacle avoidance, navigation, or movement on the ground.” Yes, that means Roombas and other robot vacuums may be considered illegal if they’re produced outside of the United States of America.

161·2 months agoI had to watch it it because the other summary made it sound so bad to me.
The author is offering some ideas about how make the desktop be more helpful to your working memory.
It gives various ideas:
- Organizing wide screens in a sort of perspective plane zoom.
- Having a sort of note manager combining clipboard and windows.
- Having a history of apps used, weighting the importance of the window by some actions and time spent so that it can be presented back to you to remember what you where doing.
- Some of these have potential to be integrated with AI although it was not the main idea.
