AI doesn’t misspell words. It’s more like hypercorrect which reveals it.
Unless MS uses some very outdated models of course.

New pride week just dropped

Maybe the only piece you’re missing is that “almost right, but critically broken in subtle ways”
Sure, but you have to note that it reaches that point in minutes. Sometimes on a task that would take humans a week. The power is not that it creates correct stuff, it’s that it creates almost correct stuff 100 times faster than human. Plus the typical machine benefits: it never gets tired, demotivated, etc.
So then the challenge becomes being able to be that human, who can review stuff extremely well and rapidly, being natural in probing the stuff LLMs tend to be wrong about. Sort of like the same challenge that every tech lead had before LLMs too, but just subtly different, because LLMs don’t exactly think like we do.

France is being pretty cool. I wish we had des couilles in Finland.
Well, at least we generated Linux itself somehow and then completely failed to keep it here. I still remember how little adoption there was at the start, and how almost everyone who was using Linux back then was regarded as some sort of an idiot savant.
I mean I was an idiot savant, but not because I was using Linux.

Why have a CEO at all? An AI could easily post edgy comment into social media every day.

My problem is that as I grow older and older, I find it harder and harder to be arsed to write any code. LLM fixes that problem beautifully. I have 20+ years experience so it kinda works. If you don’t have it might not, at the current moment.

It’s fine. I kinda dislike the devices themselves that are required to run it, though. Too big.

I prefer sr.ht, but I admit it’s a bit too spartan for some people with its original git pull request style via emails.
On a positive side, it’ll keep you from getting as many dumb PRs and issues.
Yeah! April number one!

Their propaganda organization (where this is certainly originating from) obviously knows what April 1 means for the west. They’re not stupid.
Oh wait, they’re not stupid. This is deliberate.
To which Anthropic answered by open sourcing the whole thing under AGPL. Didn’t you see the news?

Really bad day for making threats if they want them to be taken seriously.

How the fuck did you manage to place Microsoft on a lower tier, Corporate-wise? They took the uber-corporatism that IBM had done and perfected it.
Real HP:MOR energy right there
NixOS – now I’ve finally found the endgame distro!
several days later CachyOS is actually much simpler.

This is the way.

Rephrasing: I’ve used AI a lot and I haven’t seen it misspell anything in at least a year. Even in pictures these days. Depends on the model, of course.
