I had an ok experience with Arch and a 2012 macbook pro back in the day. Wifi and suspend all worked without any tweaking. Moved on to using a ThinkPad after that though.

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
