TBF, that’s about as “new” as 5G, though. Even earlier, if radio waves count as “wifi” in this regard.
Ever since in-home transmitters were widely adopted, this has been not only possible but quietly deployed by various intel orgs. I mean, FFS, even some fire depts use similar for S&R as it bypasses obscuration by smoke, etc. 😅🤓
That’s really cool. Can someone more knowledgeable estimate the workload is for the central unit? I’m guessing we’re way beyond Raspberry Pi territory.
