I just found and set up Gameyfin (a play on Jellyfin). Still in the testing it out phase, but I love the idea of a collection of my friends and my DRM free games that we can all share with less reliance on big companies.

1·29 days agoYou know, I’m really curious about xmpp, kinda wanna check it out, but then every time I am reminded that it exists it comes with a new and different chain of dependencies? other apps? whatever the other things are anyways that people list with it. And then I don’t bother researching because suddenly it seems like the more complicated option. Not intending to insult, just lamenting.
Gonna chime in and add that I have also not had this issue, Nobara Linux here. My discord voice comms work great in browser, and the various other versions I have run. Hope you figure it out!
Same, I switched over yesterday and I found it actually does all the things I was hoping for!
Reducing keyboard size, removing suggestions bar, adjusting timing on holding for symbols or numbers, emoji key, theming, and swipe typing can be enabled (its just a file that they cannot or have chosen not to install with the app, as the rest is open source as far as I understood).

Woah cool, this is the first time I’ve actually read about postmarketOS, other than seeing it mentioned occasionally, and it’s pretty neat to see it coming along!

This is a vision I could get behind, and I already do a ton of self-hosting for that stuff! The theoretical simplification, easier conceptual understanding, and easier portability would all be very nice plusses over what we have now.
Buy it does feel a bit to me like creating just one more perfect standard, and then we will have our fracultured world, but with 14 standards…
