They fired all the capable people.
Linux being boring is a good thing. I want my OS to be boring. I use Mint, BTW

You can sell it all you want, you’re not going to make me hate EA any more than I already do.
I use the emotional support distro and I have zero regrets.
The standard terminal in Mint is perfectly fine. You won’t ever need anything else unless you become a system operator taking care of data centers worth of machines. It’s definitely worthwhile getting into, even if you don’t strictly need it. Just watch a few introductory videos and get sudoing. The chances you’ll break something are pretty low, if you use common sense. Having said that, always back up your data before doing anything you’re not 100% certain about.

Or Mint. I use Mint because it works with minimal hassle.
Mint is also one of the biggest distros which is a factor in getting help. Any problem you may have, chances are, somebody already posted the solution.

In 1995 I bought 4 MB of RAM for DM 200, which, adjusted fire inflation probably works out to about €200 in today’s money. I’d say, prices have come down quite a bit, since.

Check the YouTube channel “PC Builder”. He regularly does comparison videos on most components, including monitors.
If I were you, I’d get a cheap burner phone and join the stupid group. If you want to keep this job, this is clearly a must. If you have other options, this might be the time to explore those.
That may be easier said than done.
Yeah that may take a while. Personally, I don’t mind but if you need something that requires Wayland, Mint isn’t for you.
I see nothing whatsoever that could go wrong here.

Of course it’s reasonable to cross-shop the GabeCube against mini PCs. But I’m pretty sure the cube will come out on top. Powerful mini PCs are quite expensive. If the price is right, the cube will easily beat them on value alone. But that’s of course speculation, until we know the actual price

But when people make a buying decision, what they already have is important. If you get a reasonable uplift in performance at an affordable price, that is an attractive proposition.

Can it empty my dishwasher?

Your guess is as good as mine. Only time will tell.

I think you’re wrong. It appeals to gamers who want a simple living room PC and it appeals to console people who just want to plug something in and start playing. If the price is right, this may be huge. Also, it would actually be an upgrade for a lot of Steam users so there’s another huge market.
Or he’s some deputy assistant vice president or something.
