Or they link to the real sources that might be incorrect to shift the blame, but then those sources can charge for using their data what’s even worse in the AI scraping era.

all these companies are sharing the same brain cell…
they all have upper management that went to the same schools and the same classes, so they’re all indoctrinated the same way.

It’s why they’re racing now to extract as much values as possible and turn it into physical assets or possibly crypto to protect it against devaluation.

And if Google complains that it’s on the pieces of info they got from 3th parties that were wrong and name them, then the 3th parties are able to request compensation for using that info.

In the not so distant future you use your own personal AI to do the trawling and if that thing gets it wrong that’s on you or the company that made it.

It’ll go perfectly with the Luigi app that highlights millionaires in your vision.

Tech bros in general always seem to do it anyway and deal with complaints afterwards, preferably after lobbying or sueing to remove regulations.

It can create the environment, but doesn’t make it inevitable. People still do boneheaded moves for more money or power. Russia did invaded Ukraine because it thought trade dependencies would rule out sanctions and counteractions.

Yeah, it’s a nation wide hail Mary project for the rich. Either AI works and it launches them beyond the competition or China passes USA, becomes the new superpower and things get bad anyway. The bottom 99% is going to suffer anyway.

Debt. Unbelievably huge mountains of debt that’ll come due sooner or later.
with the official narrative being they accidentally fell out of a window.

Hence why there is frantic effort in decoupling from USA and connecting with alternative markets in the rest of the world.

Yes. Let’s pause. And then have a serious discussion about distributing benefits, taxation, work and wages, shared possession of the tech that’s going to be the future and realities for building data centers. Oh, no pause? Okay then.

Probably more for corporate use, digital autonomous companies and the like. If your home router is smart enough to do your taxes, you don’t need much cloud computing. Although tech firms will try to get everything turned into a cloud subscription of course.

But in the same way we’re now carrying a supercomputer in a pocket or purse. And they’ll be a successor to LLM that’s much more efficient. Most likely every laptop or phone puts those data centers to shame in a few decades.

The tech bros are dreaming that everybody will use cloud based AI for everything. And people will need tokens for that, so that’ll become the new currency.
But there aren’t close to enough data centers to do that, or even enough under construction. They’re having racks in tents powered by jet engines now because building date centers is expensive and slow. Much slower than they’re hyping and certainly not enough to catch up with tech bro dreams.

But often they’ll rehire for a lower salary or hire offshore.

There was an old 60s sci-fi me movie where the protagonist tricked the AI numerous times to get free stuff. “I left my ID card inside, can I go get it” and the AI opens the door, that kind of thing. Turns out that movie was right after all. I just can’t remember the name.

I can’t share that feeling. My country has a law that every parking garage and parking lot must have chargers and often a fast charger is installed. I really have to go a few countries over to a place that’s not full of chargers.
Trump too has a degree in economics and went to a prestigious finance school so that tracks.
