Is the Wikipedia foundation libertarian? And where do you think the AIs are ripping all their data from?
As far as I know they aren’t some nefarious mega corporation.
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… Piss ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion… I watched Pee-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like piss in rain…

Not just me then

I updated a package.JSON, after a typescript update, to some obscure geotiff library. This to date is my only contribution to open source software

Yeah I get that that. I’ve made quite a few web apps and I’ve also used a lot of niche industry ones that have awful security, like the examples I have.
Time sensitive/single use uuids are not the problem, it’s assuming that the uniqueness and hard to guessness of the uuid is good enough for security

Say for example you’re app provides sharing links or emails you links to documents. In that situation a user van easily leak these to other people.
A uuid is not sufficiently secure on its own. You need to have permissions on your documents

Yeah that was my first guess. I’m a fucking idiot and even I implement some form of authorization check on my apps used by about ten people.
A uuid isn’t enough.

It’s love to know how this bug happened. Was it a complex issue or just shoddy security

Ah yes, Europe. Bastion of safety and human rights.

Having spent the last year living in China I can tell you that about 50% of the people I asked have them. I even ended up using one recommended by a local because it worked better than the western one I had been using.

Holy dog whistle

I mean, if they are then you should be rooting for them. Your living conditions would skyrocket under Chinese hegemony

What are the Chinese going to do to you with your data Vs say the tech firm selling your data to insurance companies?

Easiest money I’ve never spent
JavaScript is very easy to understand

Still waiting for quantum to be used for something practical.

Well yeah.

I suppose you could hold your palm out to block their view of you. If enough people did this to someone wearing these things they might get the hint and stop wearing them
