If Nintendo would see it, they can still get it taken down. But I’ll concede that as long as it goes under the radar, there’s a chance for it to proliferate

Releasing something anonymously is not going to prevent a company from getting the content removed from the web server. Hosting companies have to act according to local laws, and if a company can abuse this (like DMCA) then releasing stuff anonymously is not going to change anything
Nice find!
But I still won’t judge a whole company based on the personal opinions of one of its employees.
It’s not a personal opinion:
Notice how it says “here is our official response”
I don’t really have a well-written reply for this, but I can see your firearms angle. I invite you to read this: https://www.arc.unsw.edu.au/blitz/read/under-their-influence-should-celebrities-stay-out-of-politicsquestion
The democratic process is designed for participation. So, if celebrities can get more people involved, this means that ordinary people will have more control over how their country is run.
You know what the physics professor and singer have in common? They can both cast a vote and partake in politics.
Same deal. Just because they make music you like, doesn’t mean that’s all there is to them. Musicians, actors, athletes are also individuals with experiences and perspectives that can inspire or activate positive change. Sure, their main talent might be what they’re famous for, but that doesn’t mean their opinions on important matters are invalid. Dismissing their voices entirely just because they have a certain job is a dumb idea.
Don’t agree completely. Celebrities are people too, they can use their voice to do good and activate people with regards to politics. Kinda cruel to just say “focus on what you’re known for, which is a pretty face. I don’t care about anything else that makes you human”
While fundamentally a MOBA, the game’s “Smash Bros.” influences mean it feels distinct from other entries in the genre; falling off maps, and replacing health-bar eliminations.
I don’t think it’s gonna be very popular if it’s “just” a MOBA. While Smash Bros. is a great game on the technical level (except Brawl), they are carried by the massive IPs that appear in the game(s).
I personally think this would help, but there’s a lot folks online who scream “free speech” when you start talking about verifying age online. And honestly, I don’t know a good solution to balance it
Pretty much all social media has a minimum age of 13 in their ToS. So what exactly are you suggesting? Raising it by 1 year?
Depending on the specs, that sounds like it could be fun. Like a quirky street performance thing for artists to draw, print & sell art all at once?
Not much in that article to convince you to go and play it. I had a lot of fun with it.
The writing was funny, the characters were also really funny, and how it all felt like an easier version of Dark Souls was appealing to me.
I enjoyed exploring the world and all the different shells that has different abilities, although I definitely had my favorite (the DS equivalent of light armor for lean dodge rolls) there were a surprising amount of shells that were fun to use.
I only had one bug and that was at release, where I didn’t get one of the keys necessary to fully upgrade my attack power. A bummer, but it didn’t stand in the way of me finishing the game.
While 32" will mean less pixel density, it all hinges on your viewing distance as to which one will look better in any scenario.
Discoverability is a huge problem on Steam because there’s so many games releasing, you can’t really keep up.
18,000 games is almost 50 per day on average. That’s 50 titles fighting for your attention and wallet every single day.
If you don’t get noticed because you didn’t spend half of your development budget on marketing, or your game didn’t pick up well with influencers or more traditional media like reviews, you’re just kinda fucked. No matter how good your game might be.
Speaking about quality, how many of those 18k titles were uninspiring, asset flipping slop?
Perhaps too subtle for most to care but it’s there
I’d rather say it’s only something to care about when you are in high school or peaked in high school.
Nobody cares in community servers who’s got animoji and who can send a sticker from another server.
It essentially creates a caste system where equal exchange can’t happen.
If you experience Nitro members being seen as more important than others, you’re in the wrong Discord communities.
I’ve never seen someone being glorified because they are a Nitro user, and although I’ve seen some member pretending to be superior because they have Nitro, they were quickly to be ridiculed and put back in their place for trying to gloat about paying for it.

Friendly reminder you can cancel your trial version / free month if you have activated one recently, and you’ll keep the perks until your trial runs out.
Glad they are going for this, although it seems a bit weird that they aren’t going for bigger players that have similar or worse tactics.
What is an advertisement?
Good luck trying to convince gamers not to buy a (insanely marketed) game. Remember MW2?
