It’s not a better decision for me, my PC sits unused as the experience is better on console


You telling me that PC ports are always as polished and performant as console releases?
I don’t want a PC to play games, get over it and stop trying to rope everyone in to your crusade


I don’t get how that makes sense, the price of everything is going up
It’s not like ps5 is going up while PCs are staying the same price


No they are not, Ghost of Yotei and Saros aren’t
Also the ports are hit or miss, why wouldn’t I just play them on the platform the developers targeted?


Can’t get the games I am interested in playing these days on PC
Most PS5 first party games are not available on PC at launch, none will be going forward


I can’t be bothered turning my gaming pc these days, ps5 and switch2 have games I am more interested in playing and can just play on the couch
There is something I can’t explain about the experience on console which is better than dealing with PC even if they are also hooked up to the TV
For me we have already reached the point where graphics improvements no longer matter, I just prefer the polished experience and quality standards of exclusives


I think it’s like most things, 1% are loud and the rest will accept it


They don’t license out their operating system to other companies or ever claimed it was open
They may be guilty of similar things, but not quite the same


I haven’t had an optical drive in any computer or console or other device for many years at this point
I can understand the reasoning why people think this is a bad thing but it seems this is just where things were going anyway, vote with your wallet I guess


Personally I enjoyed the fact that for the casual consumer cheap windows laptops I would need to run malware scanners on for everyone I know were effectively replaced by iPads and iPhones
The moment other stores are introduced we will go back to the same nonsense, the older open options are still available, why isn’t that enough choice?


I’ll always remember going to a rise against concert and scalpers outside were saying “tickets for rise against the machine”, they have no idea what they are selling


I guess the point is that if you don’t have the disc then they can take it away from you
The way I see it is this has enabled companies to upgrade and rerelease games and keep them operational on newer hardware

The entry level models have been the best value computers for a while
I had a thread ripper pro at work and it get beaten by a 5 year old m1 Mac mini for most use cases
