When I just want it to work for my needs (i.e. using just web browser for most people) there’s no difference. Except immutable is less prone to go wrong.

Good. I just quickly glanced at the site and there were multiple mentions of Ubuntu… Glad they switched to Debian, this way I might try it on second PC.
I had to turn it off (which is easy in plasma) because I have two different monitors and they have different brightness, so it was either first one insanely bright to other one being normal or first being normal to second barely dim.
How does immitable differ in this case?
Manjaro enters the room…
Or yours to not tinker and just use distros default. Right?
Isn’t it based on Ubuntu?
I believe it could be killer casual home PC if they had clearly stated specs with expected power draw and output. Not everything needs to run at 240 Hz in 4k res… as steamdeck showed. It has too low res though for desktop PC, so new steam machine should be a bit beefier than just rebranded deck.
Oh c’mon! It’s not just Portugal, there’s half of the EU missing…
That’s better, because he would have to live his life knowing he completely fucked himself.
Wow, plasma looks great. Hope it gets official release soon.
Yes, that first pragraph is (sadly?) my experience too. Almost every game that have native version was somehow worse than windows version with proton. Black mesa gave me all sorts of weird glitchy light effects, Pillars of Eternity only ran at 60 FPS and had half of the fonts unreadably blurry, the other game (forgot the name) lacked plenty of updates on linux, etc. And all these problems went away with proton. Is it sad? Yes. Do I care much? Not really as long as proton is hassle free.
The main difference is imo the preinstalled ( ery nice) theme /jk
Why cripple Gnome to something Knomeish when OP is already familiar with KDE and there are gazzillions of KDE distros?
I’m daily driving it for ~3 years and I only started yast once to see why everyone praises it so much and second time when I actually needed something (don’t even know if I suceeded or failed).
Snapper on the other hand… That is a bit I praise the most! I still don’t get it why it’s not default for more distros…
Well, I have AMD too and I haven’t encounter either of them… so far. Hope it stays that way.
I too can easily recommend Tumbleweed. Very nice distro on its own.
Well, it might be totally stupid advice, but can’t plain simple VLC fit in?
It’s ugly AF and totally breaks the concept. At least that’s what I think about it.
Let’s hope it’s just another wccftech article pulled out of author’s anus…
