Paying $20 a month for demos and buying hopefully not only that single game is a horrendous idea.

Unless you have limitless storage, you still can’t access the title when their servers go offline. So no you STILL don’t actually own it.
This is the worst perpetuation of the GOG program that keeps getting tossed around.
Then they shouldn’t have had dollar signs in their eyes and not released into systems that couldn’t handle it Lmfao.
You have some very interesting takes…
No, people seem to be watering down what it means for a game to be an RPG.
Just because a game gives you few bonuses as an essentially half assed system to make it seem like an rpg, doesn’t make it an rpg. A progression system in an RPG is deep, has layers, provides skills and makes your character a different version of what it was at the start.
CyperPunk in now way at launch met this mark with 2.5% dmg, 2% fire rate, etc. where’s the unlocking smgs, unlocking scopes, stuff like that.
Dont misconstrue what it means for an rpg to be an rpg because your feelings are hurt about your “goty” for what it actually means to have a progression system.
So your defense is that companies cared more about money than providing a good product?
It wasn’t released early, it was released in a broken state and completely unfinished state, they were missing promised content, and bare minimum standards to make it an rpg.
It’s crazy that people are defending the worst game release EVER as being goty, lmfao give your head a shake.
lol paltry stat bonuses is not progression system. Theres a reason they had to overhaul it…it was hated because it wasn’t a progression system, calling it an rpg is an insult to actual rpgs.
Before or after the overhaul? Because at launch it was barely enough to call it a progression system.
All of those have character progression (skills/points) that’s a main attribute of RPGs.
And it’s not gonna beat ER, even if it was in its current state at release.
You mean the game that forced companies to take it from their stores? Weird choice for GOTY…
Should we tell them?
