I had the same issue with Red Hat 6.1 on a cheap PC. One of the reasons I love using Arch is it gives me the nostral of those days.
My Linux journey was pre XP, I was still in 98Se edition and my Linux disk didn’t have a working GUI on it.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Jellyfin is not just good... but *better* than Plex now?!English
4·8 months agoI used Plex a while ago and didn’t like how I had to look for my folders against the stuff they offered. And the upside of being able to get my stuff from a server install on another network had me wondering if they were looking at the movies I had to pirate. Once I installed jellyfin, I didn’t have to worry. My only issue is if I want to use it on vacation, I have to do some vps hack-jiggery.

1·11 months agoDude, need some details and dot files.

I have arch on a few different systems. A couple of them, I used the script as I wanted to get them up and running quickly. It was very good for that, and I still had options in the script to make many of the choices and set things up manually instead of letting the script decide.
