But once I download and play an EA or Ubisoft game won’t their launcher still be running in the background even with this? Just like on steam

Fuck I was so excited for a minute. I thought they were finally giving up on their shitty launcher but they made a fucking new one.
I love battlefield, but I don’t play it because I’m not have another fucking launcher.
Same with Ubisoft. I love farcry but I don’t play it because of their stupid fucking launcher.
GTA I wanna play more of but they have a stupid fucking launcher.
If your game is on steam it shouldn’t ship with another launcher.
Oh shit maybe we’ll see someone companies switch to an alternative instead of paying microshit more money
Today I learned the inxi command does so much more than I thought. I’ve only used it to check on my RAM once
hmm… lets see. Do I buy and download the game filled with a rootkit or download the version that doesn’t have one?
Press the escape button if you’re using Plymouth
I really hope it does tho. I just want more market share to have more software support.
You know the other night I got high and thought. “I wander what other countries learn in grade school. How their propaganda is different from ours” and now all this is going on.
It’s wild how we can connect with people from across the world but our world leaders try their hardest to make sure we don’t.
This is different. I’m talking about video memory. But yeah systemd oomd is shite. It works sometimes, when it does it takes a while of waiting before it does anything
I want to but don’t know how or what commands to run to see what the issue exactly is. But I’ve tested on my 1650 and my Rx 5500. If you have 4GB of VRAM and try to game gnome does not like that. On KDE it will slow to a crawl but won’t crash.
That’s neat but can we fix the issue wear gnome crashes with full VRAM? KDE doesn’t. Same set up
That’s fuckin amazing
Last Linux Kickstarter I bought was 4 years ago and I never got it. Not getting scammed again
Creative software to just announce they they’ll think about Linux.
To be honest I’ve been using Linux for years and I still paste commands all the time. The only difference is that now when I am trouble shooting I know what command I need just not the options and how to use it
What cutting edge graphics? The blurry as smudge that is TAA in all the modern games? Fuck off. What’s expensive is the actual slop that is modern games
systemd-oomd usually kills the process before that happens tho. My system will hang for a bit but then it figures it out.
I think It might’ve been last year but anti-cheat compatibility was huge. Still up to the studio to enable it but some games have.
Progress towards wayland is going steady which doesn’t mean much to those that don’t know much about Linux. But what that means is more modern features like VRR and HDR. Not completely here yet as far as I know but that wouldn’t have happened on X11
Note exactly a huge milestone but you can’t discredit the steady development of pipewire. Audio was annoying as fuck before it.
Yeah see that’s what I’m talking about. No thanks.
I’d rather pirate it so there’s no extra crap running on my PC
